Knowsley Council is supporting Get Online week (15 to 19 October 2018), encouraging as many people as possible to go online. The theme this year is “try1thing”.
Throughout the week, Digital Champions in the council’s One Stop Shops will be available to help you through the online process – whether it’s reporting dog fouling or setting up your direct debit for Council Tax – we can help! Plus, you can use the PCs in the One Stop Shops and libraries for free.
In addition, the council’s website has been enhanced to help you find the information you need easily and quickly – visit www.knowsley.gov.uk today. Plus if you can’t find what you’re looking for, online chat advisors are on-hand to help (during the opening hours of the Contact Centre).
Being online has a number of benefits – it is quick, free, there are no queues and you can contact us at a time, date and location to suit you! In addition, being online opens up other opportunities, including taking advantage of online discounts (including fuel tariffs and online shopping), shopping from the comfort of your own home and being able to keep in touch with family and friends at the touch of a button through Facebook, Twitter and Skype!
If you need help getting online, or would like to improve your digital skills, a range of free courses are available through Knowsley’s Family and Community Education service. The courses cover all abilities and are available in a range of community venues across the borough.
From practical support on how to set up an account and send / receive emails, online form filling support and how to use various IT packages to create documents, spreadsheets and presentations – there really is something for everyone!
